Our mentoring program is the foundation on which everything else is built. Before a young person can succeed in the workforce, they need to understand themselves — their strengths, their patterns, and the internal barriers that have held them back. Our mentors don't just teach; they walk alongside.
Using a structured yet flexible framework, our team facilitates group discussions, one-on-one guidance, and self-reflective exercises that help participants identify personal challenges, develop self-awareness, and build the emotional resilience needed to thrive in adulthood — not just survive it.
The right mindset is the bridge between where a young person is today and where they're capable of going. We help them see and cross it.
ARISE CURRICULUMN USED FOR MENTORING
Getting a job is one thing. Knowing what to do with the paycheck is another. Our Financial Literacy program tackles one of the most overlooked gaps in youth education — real-world money skills — and delivers it in a way that's practical, engaging, and immediately applicable.
We partner with local banks and invite industry professionals to bring credibility and real-world context into every session. Through weekly classes, scenario-based activities, and personal coaching, participants leave with both the knowledge and the confidence to take control of their financial lives.
Whether they're opening their first bank account, building their first budget, or learning the difference between a debit and a credit score — we meet them where they are and take them where they need to go.
Building and sticking to a budget, tracking expenses, and planning for both short and long-term financial goals.
Understanding credit scores, building credit responsibly, and navigating debt without falling into destructive cycles.
An introduction to stocks, savings vehicles, and the power of compound growth — even on an entry-level income.
Hands-on activities based on real financial situations participants face — so learning connects directly to their lives.
Our Workforce Development program is where training meets transformation. We prepare young adults for in-demand roles across construction, skilled trades, and retail — industries that are hiring now and offer real, sustainable career paths.
Participants earn industry-recognized certifications, practice their interview skills in mock interview sessions with real employers, build professional resumes, and receive active job placement support from our network of community partners.
We also take something beyond what most programs offer: we incorporate the real-life situations our participants share and help them build personalized, actionable plans for their career journey. Because a plan that's generic isn't a plan at all.
Nationally recognized construction safety certification — one of the first things employers look for in a new hire.
Critical emergency response certification qualifying participants for a broader range of job sites, healthcare-adjacent roles, and employer requirements.
A highly valued credential for warehouse, logistics, and construction employment — opens doors immediately upon completion.
NCCER-aligned introduction to basic construction — the industry standard foundation credential for all pre-apprenticeship and trade advancement pathways.
Job readiness, professional standards, and workplace expectations that every employer requires — and that most training programs skip entirely.
Resume building, interview preparation, and professional presentation — ensuring every participant is ready to compete for and hold employment.
A comprehensive introduction to retail business operations, merchandising, and the commercial ecosystem.
Communication, de-escalation, and sales fundamentals that translate across virtually every service and retail environment.
A foundational understanding of supply chain mechanics and inventory management for logistics and operations roles.
Additional construction workers needed nationally to meet housing demand — and our graduates are
ready to fill those roles.
Whether you're a young person ready to take the next step, a parent looking for support, or an organization that wants to partner with us — we want to hear from you.
